Run a monthly swap of toys, books and clothes to show that we do not always need to buy new things.

What you need

Tables, boxes for sorting, tokens, posters, a tally sheet.

How it works

Forests are cleared because we constantly need new materials. Pupils organise a monthly toy, book and clothing swap to share what they already have.

  1. Agree on the rules: what can be brought, in what condition, one token per item.

  2. Make posters and invitations for families and neighbours.

  3. Run the stall: welcome, sorting, tokens, and a tally of the items swapped.

  4. Afterwards, estimate what was not bought new thanks to the swap.
